Julien MOQUET, 1st violin


Born in Paris, Julien Moquet, 1st violin of the Adastra quartet began singing, piano and violin lessons, with Arianne Granjon in the conservatory of Evry and receives his violin diploma in 2011 in the conservatory of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés in the class of Fabienne Taccola.
In 2012 he enters the Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg where he studies with Ana Reverdito-Haas, Hedy Kerpitchian and Marina Chiche. He obtained his Bachelor in violin and musicology in 2016 and the State Diploma in Pedagogy in 2017. He is currently completing his Masters degree in Music Performance.
His musical journey allowed him to practise and improve his skills during master classes with Christophe Poiget, Frédéric Pelassy, Alexis Galpérine, Chiara Banchini, Amiram Ganz… Developing a strong passion for chamber music and string quartet in particular, Julien creates the ensemble « ArcoTerzetto » and is given the opportunity to be tutored by the members of Parisii, Ludwig and Manfred Quartet.
In addition to his skills in chamber music, he also works in several orchestras, and is accepted at the Academy of the Philarmonic Orchestra of Strasbourg, where he now regularly plays.
As a soloist with orchestra, he performed Mendelssohn Concerto for violin in Paris and Strasbourg.
Attaching a great interest to pedagogy, Julien has also been working as a violin teacher in various musical schools in Paris and he now teaches at the Conservatory of Nancy.
